Getting Started with Osi2

Osi2 preserves the classic game structure, with a simple design focused on convenience.

Game features

  • The server uses Rascal anti-cheat protection.
  • DC can drop from bosses throughout the progression, from the first boss to the last.
  • On later maps, you can earn DC from Metins using auto-hunt.

Free auto-hunt

Auto-hunt and boss features are free. These features run on one client per computer.

Find equipment information

Follow the weapon or armour link and select your character to open that equipment type. Select an item to view its bonuses, upgrade levels, required materials and sources.

Where to look next

Explore the assistant, auto-hunt, bonus sources and cosmetic enchanting in Systems. Events and Rankings & Rewards cover in-game events and the reward program.

First steps

You can also read this roadmap in the game under Assistant → Guide → First steps.

  1. You start in Village 1, where teachers and the basic NPCs are located. Begin progressing by destroying Metin stones outside the walls.
  2. Farming maps contain only Metin stones, with no monsters. Destroy Metins to gain experience and Yang. On later maps, the Metins become stronger and the rewards increase.
  3. When your level and Yang are sufficient, use the Teleportation Ring to reach the next map. The Assistant marks a suitable map in its Metins tab.
  4. After level 55, you can summon bosses using the Dungeon Table. Check the Assistant's Bosses tab to see which bosses suit your character. Browse their drops in the wiki's Boss Contents.
  5. If you get stuck, press the Assistant button below the minimap. Its Guide tab covers first steps, travelling between maps, auto-hunt and increasing your damage.

The in-game Assistant: your personal roadmap

  • Ready bosses: information about bosses you can summon.
  • Damage and alerts: measured damage, suitable bosses and enabled or disabled alerts.
